Special Exhibit

Inca Exhibit

The Inca and pre-Columbian cultures of Peru are featured in a special exhibit at the Connecticut-Asia Cultural Center. The Inca culture is rich in spiritual symbolism and significance. Similar to the Taoist culture, the Incans looked to nature as a guide for how to live in harmony and peace in this world. They communed with God and natural forces. The Incan kings ruled most of pre-Columbian Peru and parts of surrounding territories. Although the Incan empire lasted only approximately 100 years, the legacy of the Inca is still influencing the Peruvians’ way of living today.
